Best lunch so far! After relay practice, Dustin and I went to a traditional English restaurant for lunch. He served a mission in Birmingham so was excited to go there. I was hoping for steak and kidney pie, but they didn't have it. They did have Yorkshire pudding with bangers and mash. We also decided dessert was the right choice and had a sticky pudding with custard. We are very satisfied now.
At the practice track this morning, I had a good visit with an Englishman named Norman. We talked about a lot of things. I told him that I lived in Kent for 9 years. He told me I have a south English accent. I'm not sure how he could tell that, but maybe it's all coming back to me and I haven't realized. That made me happy though. There was a refreshment room with drinks and biscuits. I recognized the shapes and flavours of these. The little round one is my favourite, but the chocolate one is really good too.
We had one gold yesterday. Phyllis Francis won the 400m and Allyson Felix was third. It was a crazy finish with the leader from Bahamas with 20m to go stepped funny and stumbled back to fourth place. She had about a 2m lead at the time. Meghan watched the race and was so excited about how the race turned out.
While we were watching, we noticed this cat strapped to the television camera. We guessed it probably to help the cat not fall off.
