This has been a great morning so far! I did a few miles alone, then met Dustin Williams (used to be our trainer at BYU and is the son of Ardith and Tim in Moore) and Finn (he moved from Ireland 4 years ago to work at the Olympic Training Center at Colorado Springs). We went about 9 more miles around Buckingham Palace and the gardens there.
We had the morning off from competition and the evening session starts later, so I'll get to have dinner here before we have to leave. I won't get much time to run on Friday and Saturday, so I'm loading up the week with miles early on. I have a few more miles to do this afternoon.
Lunch was good. It was the first time I've had dessert. They haven't offered much for dessert yet. The one I liked was a pecan brownie.
We had a team photo on the steps of St Paul's Cathedral. We went out there and I got my camera perfectly set, then joined the group on the stairs. There are a lot of tourists and other people around that area, so here is how my photo turned out.
The evening session went pretty well. The highlight was Sam Kendricks winning gold in the pole vault. I went upstairs earlier in the day to use the Normatec boots (those air pressure massage things). I was working on some video on my laptop while I did it and Sam came up. I asked him if he had seen the video of his qualifying round jumps. He hadn't and was excited to watch. I asked him lots of questions about pole vault technique. He saw some things in the video that he said helped him. He was very friendly, so it was even more exciting to see him do so well.

| My typical breakfast. I usually have water melon, yoghurt, and cereal with it. |

| A photo right after the 110mH final. The flames shoot out at the end of every final. Camera settings were: Exposure time=0.5s, F-Stop=22, ISO 100, focal length=18mm) |
After the team photo, I got to visit with Jenny and Amy. Jenny was always one of my favourite steeplechasers to work with. She always had so much interest in what I gave her and is very friendly. She had an incredible finish in the 1500 to earn silver last night.
Amy pushed through the marathon final 5k to move up to bronze. They are both ecstatic about their accomplishments. Jared is good friends with Amy and her husband.
